Reflecting on 2021
The Support Team together in person for the first time in Chicago celebrating the holidays
As we approach the end of another unprecedented year, we at Geode Health pause to reflect, give thanks, and share excitement about what is to come. Last week, our team came together for the first time in real life (after taking our covid tests) to take stock of what we have achieved and what Geode Health means to us today.
Geode Health was formed in early 2021 with a clear mission: To empower our patients to live healthier, more rewarding lives through accessible, affordable, and effective mental healthcare tailored to their needs. The Covid pandemic has further highlighted a dramatic need and we now exist to drive impact in this space. Rather than rapidly building out a dispersed network of offices, we have focused on thoughtfully developing a strong foundation of people and process, capable of scaling quickly while delivering consistently exceptional support to providers and patients alike.
This past week in Chicago, our co-founders Gaurav Bhattacharyya and Mike King continued to reiterate the importance of our 6 core values, and how these core values must be at the center of everything that we do. Our values (accountability, integrity, continuous improvement, one team, balance, and servant leadership) are critical to building the company that we all desire, and our patients and providers deserve. The team spent hours together discussing our ideas, plans, and commitments to live these values as we grow.
The team also re-emphasized our intense focus on supporting providers. Our belief is fairly simple, we will hire top-notch providers, give them best-in-class tools, and partner them with a team intensely focused on their success. We exist in service to our providers so that they can provide fantastic care to our patients. We’ve collectively decided that we won’t have a Headquarters- we'll have a service center, and we won’t have an executive team, we’ll have a support team. These naming conventions only matter when we deliver on them, and we look forward to showing what we can do.
After a long day of reflection, collaborating, and brainstorming you could feel the energy and excitement in the room. Some highlights include comparing our best ugly Christmas sweaters and a hysterical white elephant exchange.
We look forward to sharing our progress on the road ahead, and hope that you and yours have a wonderful holiday!
