Karina Akib

Karina is a growth leader passionate about using technology to build products that deliver meaningful impact and solve real problems. Over the last 10 years, she has built and launched several high-growth digital businesses from scratch in healthcare including WellNested, a venture backed, maternal health marketplace, which she co-founded (and sold) and Iterative Scopes, a software diagnostics company where as Head of Business Development she led commercial partnerships with the world's leading hospitals. Karina’s passion for technology was shaped by her experience at Google where, leading partnerships, she saw the impact digital products had in accelerating the growth of millions of businesses. Karina began her career as a management consultant at The Boston Consulting Group.
Originally from Sydney Australia, Karina moved to the US to complete her MBA at the MIT Sloan School of Management. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Actuarial Studies and Finance from the University of New South Wales. She lives in Chicago with her husband and enjoys open water swimming, kayaking and sailing.
